8 tips against cold feet

Even at home or in the office, many people, especially women, suffer from cold feet. We get icy feet when our organs are not supplied with enough blood and oxygen. As a result, the vessels narrow and the blood supply to the hands and feet is reduced.

We’ll show you how to pull the rug out from under your feet in the uncomfortable cold:

Warm-cold in the morning
The best way to start the day is with alternating showers. They promote circulation and blood flow and make you really fresh and lively.

If you go out on cold days, leave your tight shoes at home, because they don’t leave any space for warm pads.

Also, keep your hands off tight stockings, the pressure on the blood vessels inhibits blood flow.

withdrawal symptom
Even if many do not like to hear it, coffee and nicotine remove water from the body or inhibit blood circulation, unfortunately no panacea for cold feet. Therefore: Reduce consumption (maximum 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day).

What helps?
If you feel the cold on your feet, move your toes. Toe gymnastics promotes blood circulation and thus combats the feeling of cold where it arises ( see info box below ).

Cream your feet with a circulation-enhancing cream and wear soft, warm socks at night. Cozy warm slippers are also a hit at home.

If you want to get rid of your cold feet in the long term, take hot foot baths regularly – for example with sea salt or essential oils – and then rub your feet vigorously.

Regular outdoor exercise and occasional visits to the sauna are also good. In this way you not only fight cold feet, but also strengthen your immune system and have fun doing it at the same time.
