In short, it allows you to stretch the pleasure by targeting, more precisely, where we put our efforts. That’s why many top athletes now use it as a training tool. »

For the road bike, the electric assistance allows people to continue riding with friends, even if the latter’s level has exceeded theirs. “Training in a group is always a great source of motivation that should not be overlooked. Sometimes people give up the practice altogether when they can no longer keep up with others, ”adds Mr. Sennéchael. “This type of bike stretches the life of a cyclist who may have physical limitations, such as the aftermath of an injury, for example, by reducing the effort he must invest in the activity. »

“Riding this type of bike does not mean always relying on turbo mode,” he also explains. You can modulate the level of assistance, so adapt it to the level of effort you want to make, and even without going over in the case of bikes which are very light”.

Note that for the moment, electric bikes are reserved for adults, but given the great enthusiasm for this type of racing car, Mr. Sennéchael would not be surprised to see the market expand to all members of the family.
